ECTM Software

Engine Condition Trend Monitoring (ECTM) is a process that tries to analyze the condition and correct operation of the engine by checking the changes made in the diagram of the main parameters of the engine (EGT, WF, N1, N2). Using this method and with the early detection of defects, time-consuming and costly problems can be prevented and companies will have more mastery in repair planning.

An effective ECTM program consists of four main steps:

1- Collecting information

2- Entering information into the software

3- Software output analysis

4- Notification and follow-up

GPAS software as a turbofan engine monitoring program, using flight information such as altitude (Alt), temperature (TAT), and speed (Mach) as well as engine information such as exhaust gas temperature (EGT), fuel consumption (WF) , the speed of the compressors (N1, N2) and the engine compression ratio (EPR) have the ability to reveal a number of problems of turbofan engines. For example, defects such as loss of efficiency of the main engine modules, air leakage from compressors, burns in NGVs and combustion chambers, and the existence of errors in the measuring devices of engine parameters and engine fueling system can be detected with proper analysis.

Using flight data stored in the aircraft’s FDR or QAR has increased the quality of data input to the GPAS software, resulting in a clearer analysis of engine problems. For this purpose, airlines can benefit from the engine monitoring service by continuously extracting QAR data as part of the daily maintenance program and sending these files directly to the email address gpas16.01@gmail.com
